Childminders are self-employed and are responsible for setting their own fees. Government funded financial support is available. You may be entitled to:
Disadvantaged Entitlement
Up to 15 hours of childcare for the most vulnerable children due to parents income or additional needsUniversal Entitlement
All children aged three and four are automatically entitled to 15 hours of what the government call ‘free childcare’Working Parent Entitlement
Children aged 9 months and over of eligible working parents will be entitled to up to 30 hours a week of what the government call ‘free childcare’ buy September 2025. (for children aged three and four, this includes the universal entitlement hours)Tax Free Childcare (up to 11 year olds)
